All About Mama!

I have one life, I intend to do it the way I want. My son has one life. I intend to get him started as good as I can. I think we all are on this earth (all beings) together, so we should be able to live together. I believe every action has consequences from the small to the large. I try to live very aware of everything. Aware of how what I do impacts those around me.

I believe that you should keep your baby as close to you as you can for as long as possible.
I believe that it is 100% okay for your baby to sleep in bed with you.
I believe that the best gift you can give your child is to breast feed for as long as you can.
I also know that it is hard! This is not a belief of mine, it is a fact. You’ve heard that it takes a village to raise a child? Well, part of that village’s responsibility is to support mom so that she can successfully breastfeed her baby. I 100% support breastfeeding and believe that everyone should do whatever they can to help any mother that wants to breastfeed her child.

I would rather be with my son than anywhere else at any given time.
I love to watch his droopy eyes as he falls asleep in my arms. There is nothing more beautiful in this world.
I love him so much it brings tears to my eyes. I can’t think of one thing I would not do for my son.
I love the baby I have right now, I miss the baby he was yesterday and I look forward to the baby he will be tomorrow. And, I love each of them.
I believe it is my job as his parent to be the wall between him and everything that can harm him. I will do what I can to prevent any harm from coming to him.
I will take each little step and do everything in my power to eradicate anything that can hurt him in any way.
This includes pollution, chemicals, toxins, antibiotics in food, hormones in food, chemicals in cleaners, and anything else that is dangerous, deadly, or just an “unknown”
I will read every label, and educate myself. I believe it is my responsibility.

I love my child more than anything. I value his life immensely.
I will stand between my child and anything that may harm him.

I believe that every child deserves to have someone who loves them that much. I believe that every child is worth it.

About Mama

Became a mom in July 2010. Married since April 2005. Work during the day, and when I come home, I'm all about my family. We cloth diaper our son. I made his baby food. We eat as much organic as we can. We are against factory farming. We eat whole foods as much as possible. I believe that if you need to because of time constraints, it's okay to eat something that came out of a box, though. :-) We do what we can, when we can & don't beat ourselves up about the rest.
